Jake is stressed when he realizes how his duties as the American Dragon have kept him from having a normal school life so he intentionally let the Dragon Council suspended from his duties for a week to get the most out of his middle school graduation, and let Haley become the American Dragon. But Haley soon realize that handle this great new responsibility has affected much to her reputation. Meanwhile, a vengeful Chang is trying to revival the Dark Dragon by taking the American Dragon air, so she mistakingly captured Jake instead of Haley. After Haley accidentally revealing the true to Grandpa and Sun, she blame both of them for putting pressure on the American Dragon duties. Jake got his dragon power back by Grandpa and Chang got defeated after that. Jake went back at the graduation on time and at that time, a blood drop of Jake's injury during the fight hit on the ground and make the Dark Dragon alive.
