The Abraham Lincoln gives up the search for our friends and begins to withdraw to fix the ship's damage. Inside the submarine, Ned Land and Aronnax on the one hand and Willy Fog, Romy, Rigodón and Tico on the other, wonder about where they are and why they have been taken there. Three sailors guide them to a luxurious library, where they meet Captain Nemo, their host, who shows them around his underwater domain.
