Team Lightyear is caught in a gravity field of a planet. It turns out to be an ancient defense system and the planet seems devoid of life, bar two lone survivors from an ancient war and a parasite that stimulates aggressive behavior. Soon, all of Star Command, bar XR, are overcome by the mysterious creatures and begin to attack each other.
