As Hector enjoys himself at Carmilla's castle, he sees cracks in the walls and places a magic stone inside; later that night, while Hector is still trying to forge a special hammer, Lenore urges him not to test Carmilla's patience as even she cannot protect him if Carmilla loses her temper. Later, Lenore learns that Carmilla won't be satisfied by anything less than dominion over the entire world, including Dracula's castle. Shortly afterward, Hector finishes work on the hammer...
