Initially, Knight and the Master have a discussion about whether Shobu is ready to become a Kaijudo Master. Knight doesn't want to put too much strain on the boy, but that's the least of the Master's worries. He wants to know if Shobu has the gift at all costs. Shobu receives a new pack of Duel Master cards and, as always, is over the moon with new cards. The joy doesn't last long though, as Miss Betsy snaps at him that Duel Master cards are banned in the school. However, Shobu is able to calm Miss Betsy back down with his charm. Mimi was also gripped by the Duel Master fever and finally wants to own her own cards. So the group decides to go to Rekuta's father's store to get Mimi tickets. Arriving at the store, they are presented with a terrible picture. All the players are exhausted on the ground and Maruo, Rekuta's father, tells them what happened. A terrifying player named Toru caused this chaos. He is looking for Shobu to fight against. And since Shobu never turns down a challenge, he sets out immediately. When he meets Toru and they start the match, Shobu quickly gets the feeling that something is wrong. When Knight then appears and finds Toru passed out in the bushes, it quickly becomes clear that Shobu's opponent is not Toru but Kokujoh. A truly nasty opponent who mainly uses Darkness cards and generally throws his opponents off course with psychological tricks. Shobu tries to fight it, but can't. Shobu ends his game with a rookie mistake and loses the game. He's devastated. Stunned that he played against such a rookie, Kokujoh bolted. (Text: RTL II)
