Upon arriving in Sydney, Australia, Rin takes Haruka to a beach, where he talks about his experiences in that country before taking him to meet his home stay parents, Russell and Lori. Haruka is upset and unresponsive, due to his distress over his fight with Makoto. Upon checking into their hotel, the pair learn they must share a double bed for the night. They get through their discomfort by reminiscing about old times before falling asleep. The next day, Rin takes Haruka to the Sydney International Aquatic Centre to swim alongside Australia's national team, reigniting Haruka's passion for swimming. Rin tells Haru that he plans to approach his Australian coach about joining his current team. Haruka states he has also found a dream at which he can aim.
