Rex saves Circe from Providence, but she is acting very strange, which concerns Rex. Rex later discovers that the Circe he had saved is actually a shape-shifting E.V.O. named John Scarecrow (and a former associate of Rex) who has infiltrated the Plant on Black Knight's orders to try to get information on the two Master-Control Nanites the Providence Defect Group had obtained.
