Shuichi dreams about attending cram school as a young boy before waking up. Returning to Koyanagi, Shuichi wears the hair necklace before explaining neither he nor Chihiro can remember what happened. Isao recognizes and learns Shuichi attended the same previous school. This confuses Shuichi who cannot remember the friends. Miku, who can turn invisible, also knows Shuichi as she works at a local store. Clair berates Chihiro for leaving them. Realizing Clair is upset, Chihiru cryptically warns Clair she is too different from Shuichi to truly become one with him. Shuichi discovers Abukawa burying a dog after it got hit by a car...
