Hanaukyô's maids fight with all their might to slow down the enemy's progress, and leave the field open to Tarô to save Mariel. She is being held, unconscious, in an armored glass capsule. Confronted by the leader of the warriors of the Standard of the Red King, he realizes that his only true desire vis-à-vis Mariel is to see a sincere smile bloom on her lips one day. It is then that Mariel awakens and frees herself from her shackles.
