Hercules is tired of training and getting nowhere, seeming to Phil to want to become a hero overnight. Phil hence introduces him to Jason (William Shatner) the Argonaut, a great seafaring hero and one of the most patient men of all time, having searched thirty years for the Golden Fleece, to still not have found it. Jason invites Hercules to join him aboard the Argo in search of the Fleece, even letting him steer the ship through treacherous island shoals- when he gets himself, Phil and Jason stranded on a deserted island, inhabited only by the Sirens and the sailor-eating monster Gaggenus (Brad Garrett).
