Satoko kills herself and Rika, leaving their classmates horrified. The two begin fighting each other across numerous loops at Hinamizawa and St. Lucia Academy. During the battle, they blame one another for present circumstances. Eventually, they accidentally combine their pieces of the sword which was hidden inside the statue and begin to fight over it. Rika eventually overpowers Satoko and Eua wonders what can Rika do. Hanyü breaks free and tries to stop Eua, but is immobilized by the khakkhara.
