While Taihei Doma works overnight, Umaru Doma takes the opportunity to do her usual lethargic behavior without her brother's scolding. That weekend, Umaru and Nana Ebina clean the garden behind their apartment block. Umaru, disguised as "UMR", teaches Sylphynford Tachibana how to play soccer. The following day at their school's soccer match, Umaru's team competes against Sylphynford's team. Despite losing the game, Sylphynford is praised by her teammates for her advices that she learned from UMR on them. Afterwards, Umaru manages to work up the courage to initiate conversations with her friends.
