In the present, another typhoon threatens and instead of Kenji going to Nanami, she comes to his room. Nanami collapses due to stomach pain, and with phone service disrupted by the storm, Kenji is forced to take Nanami to the hospital in a hand cart. While she's recovering from her appendectomy, Kenji tends to the garden in her place...
