Miki doesn't understand why Yuu wants to break up with her, and he doesn't explain either, though he hands her the ring he bought her still wrapped. Miki goes to a broken Meiko's house and asks her not to hate Yuu. He decides to return to the US immediately and before leaving, Miki gives him her watch, but she doesn't feel capable of going downstairs to say goodbye to her.
