Junk Dog is a Megalo Boxer who fights in an illegal underground ring in fixed matches under the guidance of Gansaku Nanbu. He longs to have a real fight that doesn't have a decided result. One evening he almost hits Yukiko Shirato, the head of the Shirato Group which oversees the Megalonia tournament, with his motorcycle. Yukiko offers to reimburse Junk Dog but he refuses, instead angrily telling her that the Megalonia tournament is not true Megalo Boxing. Yüri, Yukiko's bodyguard, is offended by Junk Dog's lack of respect towards his employer...
