A fashion competition is to be held at Collège Françoise-Dupont where the winner will have their derby hat worn by none other than Adrien. Marinette is determined to win in the hope that Adrien will then notice her. Meanwhile, Roger Raincomprix, a police officer, orders a pigeon-loving man Xavier Ramier, to stop feeding the pigeons and leave the park. Dejected, Xavier is akumatized by Hawk Moth and becomes "Mr. Pigeon", a clumsy villain who controls massive flocks of pigeons. While Ladybug has to make due time in knitting the hat, Cat Noir has to deal with his allergy to feathers.
