In the present day, it is revealed that Jimbei could not stop Arlong's tyranny in the East Blue. Sanji confronts Jimbei over what happened in the East Blue, ordering him to commit suicide. However, Nami reminds Sanji that Jimbei means no harm and forgives Jimbei, as she has no resentment towards fishmen except Arlong.
