Everyone desperately looks for the missing Mariko, fearing for the worst. This includes both of Mariko's parents and even Mr. Shinobu's girlfriend, who calls her mother and apologizes. Ultimately, when Takashi manages to help Mariko calm down enough, she returns home. Mariko's father feels extremely guilty for his part on Mariko's emotional instability and attempts to talk to her too, with mixed results. Mariko is suspended and expelled from the Sorority for her attack on Aya. Believing the expulsion to be unfair, Nanako quits the Sorority as well.
