Jessie tricks the castle's count, Count Pumpka, into thinking that Ash and his friends are Pokémon thieves who took Team Rocket's Pikachu and asks him to retrieve Pikachu in return for Count Pumpka's Prince Pumpkaboo to live with Jessie's Pumpkaboo, who are mutually attracted to each other.
