Sissi, Franz and Toni follow the ship on which Duke Max von Arkas was kidnapped. Arkas has problems steering the large steamboat alone: his assistants turn out to be severely seasick, and a dangerous storm is brewing. When the ship threatens to explode, the kidnappers flee in a lifeboat. Max and the crew manage to break free and take control of the ship. The duke does not notice that his daughter and her friends are adrift in their small sailing boat in the storm. When it capsizes, Franz and Sissi get lost in the high waves.
