Of Solitude And Self Ruby's friends battle the Curious Cat, eventually managing to exorcise them from Neo. Ruby is devastated by the discovery that Summer had left her family for a secret mission that only Raven knew about. Ruby chooses to take back Cresent Rose, finally accepting that she is enough as herself. Reunited, Team RWBY defeat the Curious Cat who Neo then finishes off with her Jabberwalker clones. Neo then bids a friendly farewell to the team before jumping into the tree to ascend into something new. Little emerges from the tree, having ascended into a new mouse called Somewhat. Entering the portal, the team meets the Blacksmith who reveals that the Gods of Light and Darkness were the first creations of the tree to help build the Ever After with the Curious Cat and Jabberwalker being their first creations. Eventually, the brothers' quarrelling forced them to leave to build other worlds such as Remnant. As a final gift to her old friend, Alyx's spirit restores Jaune's youthful appearance, and the Blacksmith sends Ruby and her friends back to Remnant when they are needed most, Vacuo.
