Xin, Cheng's older brother, brings Cheng home because he needs help with the harvest. Hua and Tang accompany him. Xin is in love with Meili, the adopted daughter of wealthy castle owner Weishan. However, this one isn't as good as it seems, in fact he's after the diamonds that Meili's tears turn into. There is a curse on her that is only broken when a man marries the supposedly ugly Meili. Xin doesn't pay attention to appearances, but loves Meili as a person. By chance, Meili overhears Weishan ordering Guan to use all means to prevent the wedding, or to kill Xin if necessary. She escapes from the castle and decides to head towards Shaolin together with Cheng, Tang, Hua and her whole family. They take the more dangerous route through the mountains, hoping not to be followed there. However, Weishan and his men follow the wagon train. A fight finally ensues at a fortress high in the mountains.
