Cowen and Stinger reveal their nature as Invaders: after having massacred the United Nations Security Council, they throw a terrible Getter Ray bomb on Japan. On the battlefield, Saotome finds himself face to face with his two former students for a confrontation on the incident but the sudden attack of an invader disperses those present, and the doctor falls into the void. Benkei manages to warn his companions of the missile's arrival so Ryoma, Hayato and Go board the Shin Getter which launches into space to intercept the missile. Musashi on board a Getter-3 retrieves prof. Saotome and fights the Invader but loses his life in the enterprise. Benkei takes Genki, Saotome's autistic son, and runs along with the other evacuees to the underground shelters. The Shin Getter Robot attempts to destroy the missile, but is obstructed enough by Cowen and Stinger: the missile explodes, unleashing a holocaust on Earth and contaminating the entire planet with radiation from the Getter Rays.
