Sonic and his friends arrive at a jungle planet and encounter a pair of Metarex who have just stolen its Planet Egg. One of them ends up being repelled by the Sonic Driver, but Sonic is hurled towards the planet from the weapon's sheer force. Amy, aided by Cream and Cosmo, decides to look for him and get the Planet Egg back from the surviving Metarex.
