In a cave on the island, Captain Silver finds a clue. He finally comes up with the solution to the riddle and finds the secret writing on the treasure map. But then he is shot by some of his men and seriously injured. At that moment, Captain Smallet and his men attack the pirates. Most perish trying to escape, Captain Silver is captured.
