When Rob buys a universal remote from the shady red van, he uses it to control Elmore and frames Gumball for the wrongdoings with his family and his girlfriend by ruining his life, causing them to blame him for doing that. But as Rob banishes Gumball into the Void, the remote goes in with him and Gumball hits the rewind button to get out -- only to end up going back to the beginning.
