Vanitas and Jeanne chat while returning to the park to retrieve the hat and parasol Doninique lent her, and Vanitas realizes that Ruthven is after Noe. Meanwhile, having bitten Noe, Ruthven forces Noe to swear that he will obey a future command whatever it may be. Vanitas returns home to find an exhausted Noe when Dante arrives and tells them that the Beast of Gevaudan has resurfaced. Vanitas is intrigued by the news, but Noe is consumed by the smell of Vanitas' blood...
