Marco is overrun by sheep. Cracking lightning and a smoke-black sky have panicked a herd in the steppes of central Asia. A shepherd cares for the injured Marco and takes in Shi La and Luigi. As the sky darkens again, the whole flock disappears with their shepherd. Only one lamb remains. His appetite for mugwort leads the three friends on the trail of the "sun thieves", who are defeated in the end with their own weapons amidst thunder and noise.
