Luigi is ill. From homesickness! In Alexandretta, Luigi is overcome by longing for Venice. Medicine doesn't help. With a heavy heart, Marco Polo and Shi La let him start his journey home. But shortly after saying goodbye at the port, the city is attacked and Marco is in danger. Luckily, Luigi reappears and saves his friend. When a second and third attempt to say goodbye fails, Luigi gives up: his friends obviously need him more than he needs Venice!
