Lady Penelope invites the Tracys and their Thunderbird vehicles to a prestigious Global Airshow. One part of the show involves test pilot, Professor Kwark, hoping to break the world airspeed record using the ultra fast "Icarus" superjet. Although she succeeds the Icarus speed increases and International Rescue must find a way to get Kwark out before the jet runs out of fuel and crashes.
