After he leaves her in the car, he runs into Hanma and sees Akkun drive a van into Hinata's car, fatally injuring the both of them. Takemichi professes his love to Hinata before she dies and subsequently pronounces that he will go back in time once more and become the leader of Tokyo Manji Gang so that she can live.
