Yasuko rushes over to visit and make up with Ryūji's grandparents, also known as her parents, Seiji Takasu and Sonoko Takasu. She tells Ryūji that his father abandoned her while she was still pregnant, and she still chose to give birth to him and raise him by herself. Ryūji and Taiga decide to marry, sharing their first kisses in their bedroom at night. Taiga returns to her apartment and decides to fix her own life and make her worthy for Ryūji. The next morning, Yuri announces to the homeroom students that Taiga is transferring out of the high school. Ryūji later receives a text message from her noting that he never said that he loved her. Taiga sends a text message to her homeroom classmates with a picture of a single star in the night sky, which encourages them to send a class group photo back to Taiga. After the homeroom students have a graduation ceremony a year later, Ryūji rushes to the homeroom classroom, where he finds Taiga hiding in the classroom locker. Although Ryūji tells Taiga that he loves her, she blushes and instinctively headbutts him for saying it at an anticlimactic moment.
