As the girls investigate, Sam is captured and turned into one of the minions of Dr. Jay who has been controlling the people with special laughing gas. In two subplots, Alex struggles with a toothache and Mandy appears to be broke, but it is later revealed that she had lost her credit card privileges due to her poor grades.
