With the other Maximals' sparks taken by Megatron, Optimus must face his nemesis, (in the "Optimal Optimus" form previously seen in third season of Beast Wars,) alone. As they face off, Megatron absorbs the stolen sparks but Optimus pushes him into the planet's organic core, causing the reformatting of Cybertron and the destruction of the two rivals.
