The Burns family learns of the Griffin Rock Triangle and watch film reels about said phenomenon that are taped by Professor Anna Baranova. They embark on an underwater investigation and stumble upon the Midgard, a laboratory that has been trapped near an ocean trench from a methane explosion. They scope the laboratory's interior, where they find Baranova who has been inside for 28 years. Baranova initially refuses to leave her new home, but, after Cody's motivational statements, decides to detonate a bomb to her laboratory and move back to Griffin Rock.
