Grimlord sends a package to the dojo. When it's opened, Ryan, Kaitlinand J.B. are exposed to a strange ray which turns them into children. The delivery man turns into a group of Skugs and the kids must battle them. The children are victorious and head for the lab. Once at the lab, they learn of a massive assault through the reality barrier. Professor Hart determines that they can still transform, but only for a short time, then they'll return to child form. They become the V.R. Troopers and go into battle, defeating their enemies. When the trio regroups in the Skybase, they come under a final aerial assault. Just then, they retro-form back to children. As kids, they must fly the Skybase and defeat Grimlord's forces. Back at the lab, they have one final fling as kids before allowing Professor Hart to restore them to their proper age.
