With Keith back in the Black Lion, the Paladins engage the Sincline ships piloted by Lotor's generals while Shiro escapes with an unconscious Lotor. Despite their efforts, they all escape via a wormhole conjured by Honerva, though Keith is able to make it through at the last moment. On the other side, Shiro hands Lotor over to the generals before being commanded by Honerva to lure Keith away. Honerva greets Lotor, revealing herself as his mother, but Lotor renounces her and refuses to accept or acknowledge her as his mother...
