The Wild Kratts hear about snowy owls being sighted in areas far south of their usual Arctic habitat. The team decides to investigate, but trouble starts when Donita Donata decides to make hats out of the snowy owls. They then learn that the reason for this phenomenon is when prey is scarce in the arctic during the winter which leads to the snowy owls flying south to find more prey.
