Joey is too worn out from his last duel to continue dueling Mai and the Orichalcos takes his soul. Mai is freed from the Orichalcos' control, even as she swears to destroy Dartz. Kaiba fights off more Orichalcos soldiers while Yami, Téa and Tristan find a soulless Joey.
