With Akira still being held hostage, Playmaker is unable to attack. Kolter tries to log out Akira with his program, but it still paled in comparison to the virus. Not wanting Skye's sacrifice to go in vain and becoming a burden, Akira sacrifices himself by letting the virus infect him but not before encouraging Playmaker to follow through his conviction...
