Rigodón and Tico mess around on deck while Princess Romy reads and Willy Fog and Ralph accumulate whatever information they can find regarding sea monsters in the ship's library. Enter Akita, the owner of the Yokohama circus and his exotic and disturbing fiancée, who visits the captain accompanied by the gallant Willy Fog, which arouses a feeling of jealousy in Princess Romy, also annoyed by the fact that her husband has forgotten his birthday. The captain invites them all to a gala dinner at his table, during which Willy Fog surprises Romy with a ring and a magnificent cake prepared by Akita's fiancée.
