Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito While confronting Gyokko, Muichiro succeeds in insulting his art, enraging him. After his Blood Demon Arts are overpowered, he reveals his true form, a large merman-like being with lethal touch, before attacking him in a frenzy after he continues to insult him with his stoicism. Muichiro remembers how Amane had found and saved him after the demon's attack and how he trained relentlessly to become stronger, his unbridled rage continually moving him forward. Using his augmented speed and Mist Breathing, Muichiro evades and overwhelms Gyokko's perception, before finally beheading him. As Gyokko disintegrates, Muichiro's marks fade; he quickly reels from exhaustion and the poison's effects. Kozo aids him and is joined by Kotetsu, who was saved from being mortally wounded by Kyojuro Rengoku's tsuba in his shirt, which Tanjiro had given him to put in his new sword. Muichiro cries being reminded of his lost friend and is comforted by visions of his family. Elsewhere, Tanjiro struggles with Zohakuten, having his eardrums ruptured and his left foot crushed by the dragons using the clones' abilities. He is snatched by one and nearly killed when Mitsuri arrives and slices its head apart, saving him, before confronting Zohakuten to save Nezuko and Genya.
