Knight introduces Shobu to the promotional committee as the new star of the Duel Master scene. When they then learn that Shobu is the son of the legendary Shori Kirifuda, they are enthusiastic about the idea of the new advertising medium. Then, however, the master speaks up, who does not like this decision. He would like to test the little one before a decision is made. And since major decisions still fall under the Temple's sphere of influence, the committee has to bow. Meanwhile, Shobu, Rekuta, and Sayuki have agreed to teach Mimi the Duel Master game. However, when they want to start a practice round, a certain Jamira called "The Goblin", who was sent as a test subject by the master, interferes. He challenges Shobu to a duel. Shobu accepts and the duel begins. Jamira seems to be a match for Shobu's talent as he is doing very well. Until Mimi interjects that Jamira would cheat. She can't prove that since Rekuta's tummy was in the picture during the evidence hearing, but now Shobu knows and can beat Jamira at his own game. He plays the cheater mercilessly against the wall and emerges as the winner. Jamira then takes off and only threatens with the words, "I may have lost today, but one of the members of the temple will surely defeat you". Shobu is a little confused and doesn't know what to do with this threat. For the moment he doesn't care either because he has won again. In the end, it is reported to the master that Jamira lost.
