Cosette rushes into what remains of the barricade and finds dozens of corpses there. She desperately searches for her father and Marius and not finding them she hopes they are still alive. Meanwhile, Jean Valjean with Marius on his shoulders, runs away running through the sewers of Paris chased by the soldiers.
